Post-doctoral Research Fellow

Biography

In November 2014 I joined the HIRS as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow.  Alongside this role I work part-time at Gumley House Convent school, as an RE teacher.  In September 2013 I completed a PhD in the Philosophy of Education at the Institute of Education, London University.  I defended a thesis on the theory or philosophy Catholic education.  For the past two decades I have worked as a secondary school teacher in range of schools in London and combined this with some further studies. In 1999 I completed an MA in Values in Education at the Insitute of Education, London.  Prior to that I completed an MTh (Systematic Theology) at Heythrop, in 1995.  As an undergraduate I also studied at Heythrop completing the BA in Philosophy and Theology, graduating in 1992.  I am a happily married lay-member of the Catholic Church.
